Integrative Lactation Care is committed to accessible and comprehensive lactation care for all families. We serve all families regardless of feeding method, and are committed to helping you achieve your goals.
At this time, ILC is not currently in-network with commercial insurance, but superbills are provided by request and many parents have no issue with reimbursement.
If prices below are beyond your financial means, sliding scale is available. You can read more about our pricing model and apply for sliding scale consideration here.
In-home lactation care is available within a 30-minute drive of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Depending on availability, requests outside this radius may be accommodated, or you may request an appointment at our Ann Arbor office.
You are encouraged to consider purchasing one of our packages below, which includes extensive support at a discounted per-visit rate.

Services (A La Carte)
In-Home Comprehensive Lactation Consultation
For parents/caregivers seeking support for lactation, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, combo feeding, and pumping.
90-minute initial consult includes:
- review of comprehensive intake form
- a hands-on assessment of your baby, including reflexes, mobility, & oral anatomy/structures
- a breast/chest exam
- pump fitting
- a functional assessment of latch and/or bottle feeding
- weighted feeding to assess milk transfer (on a scale sensitive to 2g)
- discussion of your concerns
- written care plan with resources
- referrals to additional care providers, if needed
- 2 weeks of follow-up support via text/secure patient portal
$250
Available within 20 miles of Ann Arbor, travel fee of $25-50 applies.
Text Support
For parents/caregivers seeking interim support for lactation, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and pumping. A great gift for expecting parents!
One week of text support includes:
- ability to reach out at any time (24/7) with questions
- guaranteed minimum of 3 replies per day during business hours
- access to secure messaging portal
- priority scheduling for appointments
Text support is intended to serve as a bridge to either normal, effective feeding or to a consultation for ongoing feeding issues. It is not appropriate for addressing issues that persist.
$70 / week
Pump Fitting
For parents/caregivers seeking support for effective pumping.
45-minute consult includes:
- review of comprehensive intake form
- a breast/chest exam
- discussion of your pumping goals / return to work plan
- customized pumping schedule
- education on pumping techniques
- written care plan with resources
- 2 weeks of follow-up support via text/secure patient portal
Available in-person within 20 miles of Ann Arbor or internationally for anyone with a reliable internet connection.
$150 in-person

Prenatal Consultation
For parents/caregivers seeking prenatal support for lactation.
60-minute consult includes:
- review of comprehensive intake form
- a breast/chest exam (optional, but recommended)
- discussion of your goals, questions, & concerns
- written care plan with resources
- 2 weeks of support via text/secure patient portal following birth of baby
Available in-person within 20 miles of Ann Arbor or internationally for anyone with a reliable internet connection.

Virtual Lactation Consultation
For parents/caregivers seeking support for lactation, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and pumping.
60-minute consult includes:
- review of comprehensive intake form
- secure telehealth video platform
- a visual assessment of your baby, including reflexes, mobility, & oral anatomy/structures
- a breast/chest exam
- a functional assessment of latch and/or bottle feeding
- discussion of your concerns
- written care plan with resources
- referrals to additional care providers, if needed
- 2 weeks of follow-up support via text/secure patient portal

Available internationally for anyone with a reliable internet connection.
Bottle Feeding / Bottle Refusal Consultation
For parents/caregivers seeking support for bottle feeding, including formula feeding, donor milk feeding, combo feeding, and/or pumped milk feeding.
60-minute consult includes:
- review of comprehensive intake form
- a visual assessment of your baby, including reflexes, mobility, & oral anatomy/structures
- a functional assessment of bottle feeding
- discussion of your concerns
- written care plan with resources
- referrals to additional care providers, if needed
- 2 weeks of follow-up support via text/secure patient portal
$200 (in-person)

By purchasing a lactation care package, you get the peace of mind that accompanies having priority access to an expert who can answer your questions & provide reassurance that things are going well (or provide swift assistance if they aren’t), and Integrative Lactation Care gets to provide you with the level of support we wish to provide for all families.

Ultimate Support Package
For expecting parents/caregivers who want to be thoroughly prepared & fully supported before & during their lactation/feeding journey.
Included:
- Prenatal Consult ($150 value)
- 6 months access to ILC online content library, including courses/resources on sleep, feeding, & more ($200 value)
- Unlimited messaging support throughout pregnancy & first 6 months postpartum, including priority support when baby arrives ($400 value)
- Comprehensive in-home consultation within baby’s first week ($250 value)
- 2 additional consults within the first 3 months (can cover pumping, bottle feeding, return to work planning, sleep, or any other topic/concern of choice) ($400 value)
- 30% discount on any additional consults booked within baby’s first year of life ($100+ value)
For packages booked in February/March 2024 (for all 2024 due dates), this package is available for:
$750 (price to increase in April 2024)
Comprehensive Support Package
For expecting parents/caregivers who want comprehensive support throughout their early lactation/feeding journey.
Included:
- Comprehensive in-home consultation ($250 value)
- 2 additional consults within the first 3 months (can cover pumping, bottle feeding, return to work planning, sleep, or any other topic/concern of choice) ($400 value)
- 3 months access to ILC online content library, including courses/resources on sleep, feeding, & more ($200 value)
- Unlimited messaging support for 3 months ($200 value)

Standard service radius includes: Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dexter, Chelsea, Pittsfield Township, Scio Township, Whitmore Lake, Milan, Belleville, Pinckney, Ypsilanti Charter Township, Superior Township, and all other areas within Washtenaw County; we also serve Plymouth, Canton, South Lyon, & Brighton.
Extended service radius includes parts of Oakland County, Wayne County, & Livingston County and varies based on availability.
If you are outside the service radius, appointments are also available by request at our Ann Arbor location (722 Brooks Street).
