About Me

Hi, I’m Jill!

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), and Functional Sleep Specialist

Like many first-time parents, I found myself completely unprepared for feeding challenges when my daughter was born. Despite my best efforts to learn while I was pregnant and a deep desire to breastfeed, I had no idea that it could be quite so hard.

I have always been passionate about integrative & functional medicine, and about really getting to the root of challenges, and my education and career before parenthood were centered around uplifting the well-being of children and families.

Becoming a lactation consultant and bringing my own holistic spin was already written in the stars for me.

My Approach to Care

The greatest gift I received as a new parent was the encouragement to follow my intuition. It is the gift I aim to pass on to every family I work with.

You are the expert on your child.

My approach is to help you tune into your child’s needs. The culture we live in – the one that does not provide any paid leave, paid childcare support, or paid coverage for physical/mental healthcare – conditions us to tune out our instinctive knowing in favor of quick fix solutions, expensive products, and high-tech gadgets.

I am here to help you relearn how to listen and respond.

When a parent is empowered with the knowledge of what is biologically normal and developmentally appropriate for their baby (or child), along with a toolbox of skills, practitioners, and resources, I believe everyone can thrive.

Advanced Training

It’s not all in your head – babies born today do have more challenges than past generations – AND today’s parents are rightfully demanding better answers & better care than our parents and grandparents had access to.

Issues like painful latch, reflux, oral ties, bottle refusal, are on the rise, and as your provider, I am deeply committed to maintaining a robust toolkit of strategies to meet these challenges.

Having navigated both oral dysfunction (tongue tie) & food allergies with my daughter as an infant, I sought advanced training for managing oral rehabilitation and gut healing as an IBCLC. With over 300 hours of education in oral assessment, clinical management of oral ties, and supporting oral reflexes & skills, I am proud to be a trusted resource for families navigating the complex world of oral dysfunction.

Integrative Care

Having been failed by the mainstream medical model for a decade for my own health challenges, I finally found answers within an integrative & functional model of medicine.

So when I opened my lactation practice, it was already with an integrative lens, and one that I knew would continue to grow.

Because great lactation support isn’t just about getting baby’s mouth to nipple, or how to use your pump – it’s about supporting you and your baby as two whole humans.

Integrative lactation care is:

  • mental health centered
  • root cause oriented
  • evidence-based, & anthropology-informed
  • equity & community minded
  • airway-focused
  • nurture-immersed

If this sounds like the support you are seeking, I hope you’ll reach out.
